And here comes the flood... I say, Dreamtide are pretty much following the musical path of their predecessors! Indeed, three of the five members within this very band used to make a good living as musicians of Germany´s finest hardrock act in later years... namely: Fair Warning.

I don't believe fans of FW will be all that disappointed with this release either, as Guitarist/Songwriter Helge Engelke (ex-Fair Warning) has managed
to create a very powerful debut album here. It's maybe even more diverse than later FW albums and you could also say that Dreamtide walks the
borderline of melodic hard rock and (very soft) power metal. There's no doubt about it as from where these guys hail from either as the music is
very German sounding indeed. Apart from the obvious comparison, I could also hear similarities to: Axxis, Royal Hunt, Zeno or why not Blind Guardian goes AOR? Vocalist Olaf Senkbell (ex-Jack's Hammer) has actually done a number of background parts for Blind Guardian. Add that Engelke is one of better "new" guitarists out there and a brilliant songwriter. The CD is simply filled with catchy hooks, big choruses and lovely keys by Torsten Luderwald (ex-Fair Warning)

Songs like the lovely opener 'What You Believe In', the powerful 'Ten Years Blind', 'Come With Me' and 'Crashed' are all marvellous, and there are many more where these came from. Nevermind that 'Your Life' had me actually fooled, believing this to be some weird kind of version of 'All The Young Dudes' at first. Not one of the highlights on this CD, but overall is this a fantastic debut album. Recommended indeed!
