Midwestern Sky

Former Fair Warning guitarist Helge Engelke returns (along with bandmates CC Behrens and Torsten Luderwaldt) with new band Dreamtide. Taking the core Fair Warning sound and adding more touchs of Zeno Dreamtide have come up with wonderful songs and some truly sublime soloing from Engelke.

Dreamtide is the new band from ex. Fair Warning guitarist Helge Engelke. He has put together a fantastic band with two former Fair Warning members CC Behrens, Torsten Lüderwald and Ole Hempelmann (Thunderhead). He has also found a great singer in Olaf Senkbell, he sometimes sounds very similar to Tommy Heart (Fair
Warning) but he still got a voice of his own. The sound of this album is very powerful, pompous and melodic. So if you put together Fair Warning, Zeno and the latest Royal Hunt you get the sound of this album. Out of the 13 tracks I can´t find a single weak song and the production is crystal clear. The highlights on this album is, "What You Believe In" that are showing what direction this album is heading. It´s a powerful song with brilliant guitars, keyboards and catchy hooklines.
"Come With Me" could have been on some of the Fair Warning albums. "Dreamers" is a ballad that sounds very much like Zeno. I could go on and mention all the tracks but I won´t. This is a album that every melodic fan should get that wants something extra.
